"Lovely and very enjoyable – I will recommend the lavender scones to all my friends"

"The weather was perfect!  The meal – very generous portions, appetising and satisfying.  The talk informative, the invitation to weed was taken up – not that there was a lot to do- the gardens are so well kept.  All staff very helpful and courteous."

"What an unexpected pleasure.  It was mum who drove the desire to visit, but once here the children got as much out of it as the adults – especially the snakes and ladders!"

"We appreciated the sense of humour.  More variety than we’d expected with the activities for children, the deer and the cricket match!"

"Plenty of information re lavender cultivation, history etc.  Food, quality and service excellent"

"Very relaxing and peaceful.  Beautiful location.  Well designed and kept with interesting twists.  So pleased we can bring the children somewhere nice where they are occupied.  The games are so cleaver and different.  Well done.  Also love the cricket match.  Wonderful original ideas.  Shortbread best I have every tasted, light soft warm and tasty.  Ice-cream a hit too."

"Very inventive, lots of ideas for my garden and herb patch"

"A lovely place to visit!  We enjoyed your sense of humour and personal input"

"A wonderful place to visit with fantastic views.  Customer service very good in shop and tea room."

"A touch of tranquillity in a frantic world – most welcome"

Yorkshire Lavender in the news

Over the years many famous celebrities have visited us and we were delighted to have been featured on both BBC and ITV programmes including recently 'Castle in the Country' in which James Martin used our 'Lavender Honey' to make two exciting recipes we have also featured on the front page of the Saturday Telegraph Gardening Supplement, as well as The Yorkshire Post, Herb Society Magazine, The Lady Magazine, Dalesman, Yorkshire Evening Press and BBC Radio York and Leeds.  We're tremendously proud of what we've been able to achieve with huge help over the years from our work colleagues (now numbering nearly 20!) and of course our visitors.
