Nigel Goodwill and his dedicated team have for the tenth year in a row been awarded gold winner in the 2017 Yorkshire in Bloom ‘Tourist Attraction’ Category. When you look at the wonderful gardens and landscape that have been carefully cultivated and nurtured over the years it is not hard to see why. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Vale of York, Yorkshire Lavender can most probably boast the best view in Yorkshire!
Much more than just a lavender farm, this family run attraction boasts wonderful gardens including a unique Lavender Maze, Mediterranean Dry Garden, Sensory Garden, Purple Patch Garden, The Wibbly Wobbly Way, Bog Garden, Natural Wild Flower Grassland Meadow, probably Yorkshire’s largest hillside Snakes and Ladders, The Lynne Goodwill Memorial Garden, Deer Park and ‘The Spirit of Yorkshire’ which captures the various stances of triumph of the eleven fielding cricketers with the batsmen and umpires looking on.
