Join our head gardener Julia for a walk through the gardens, at a time when they’re usually closed to visitors. We will enjoy the autumnal foliage, architectural grasses and decorative seedheads... and the incredible view towards York. Julia will talk about which lavender varieties we plant in the gardens and give you tips on how to create the conditions they need to stay healthy through the colder months.
Back in the tearoom we’ll warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and a slice of seasonally inspired cake / a mug of delicious soup and home-baked bread. This autumnal walk will last approximately 1 hour with lunch after.
The ground (and the weather) may be wet, so please wear appropriate shoes and dress for cold and rain!
EJ's Tearoom will be open for refreshments and freshly baked cakes 10am till 2pm. The gardens will also be open with no admission fee.
