One of the things we love most about the lavender season is the workshops we host for guests. And this weekend, we were treated to two opportunities for calm and creativity.
Capturing the landscape in Paint & Pastels
We were delighted to welcome back the talented artist Robert Dutton for another of his much loved Paint & Pastel workshops.
Over the day, Robert expertly guided his students in how to best capture the scenes at Yorkshire Lavender, using different techniques to showcase the textures of the landscape. From complete beginners to seasoned creatives, everyone got something good from the session, each creating a beautiful memento
Wonderful Wreaths
Head gardener Julia showed a group of eager crafters how to create stunning wreaths from fresh lavender and other seasonal flowers, sourced from the gardens.
Over the course of two hours, fulled by tea and cake, our guests turned the fragrant flowers into beautiful displays, showcasing the best of the season.
